Macy’s is Closing its Doors in 2025: Did your Store Make the list?
Macy’s just announced that they will be closing 60+ storefront locations across the country! This is part of their plan to help turn around the company! The chain announced last year that in 2025 and 2026 they would be closing 150 stores that were underperforming! This is the first set of store closures that have been announced in this multi-step initiative!
The plan is to close these stores and re-focus on stores that are performing with better offerings and better service! The goal is for Macy’s to work towards sustainable growth!

My local store is unfortunately closing which is a bummer because I loved being able to order online and do a quick pickup order! We expect to see an announcement of more store closures over the next year as Macy’s works to rebuild a more sustainable company!
