Old Navy has announced a strategic partnership with RADAR. This technology platform integrates RFID, AI, and computer vision to provide real-time inventory tracking. This collaboration aims to enhance the in-store shopping experience by offering store associates precise, real-time inventory information, enabling them to locate items swiftly and accurately.
The multi-year plan involves a phased rollout of RADAR's AI-powered RFID technology across Old Navy's extensive network of over 1,200 stores in the United States. By implementing this system, Old Navy seeks to transform its stores into connected spaces where continuous product tracking optimizes inventory replenishment and improves both customer and team member experiences.
RADAR's technology utilizes overhead scanners continuously monitoring RFID-tagged merchandise throughout each store. This allows store associates to locate products instantly, whether on the sales floor or in backroom storage, thereby improving service efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, the system streamlines inventory replenishment processes and expedites the fulfillment of online orders designated for in-store pickup.
