Saying Goodbye to Another Retailer: At Home is Closing 26 Stores

Home joins a growing list of retailers to file for bankruptcy this year. The retailer announced that 26 of their storefronts will be closing by September 30, 2025! The furniture and home decor retailer is based in Coppell, TX.
According to court documents, the cause of filing for bankruptcy is rising interest rates, customs costs, and inflation. Six stores have already closed their doors over the past year, and now they will add to that list. Ownership of At Home is being transferred to a group of investment firms and hedge funds based in New York and San Francisco.
Here are the 26 stores for the initial closures:

-Ledgewood, NJ

These stores were all designated as “underperforming,” so they will be the first to shut their doors. It is unclear whether or not this list will continue to grow.
